Submitted release Linux-distro ROSA Marathon in 2012, is replacing ROSA Desktop 2011 and positioned as the issue of long-term support (LTS), which updates will be released within five years. Unlike the previous version, which was released simultaneously on a single packet-based with Mandriva Linux, ROSA Marathon 2012 is built on the basis of its own packet, initially based on the time between the distribution Mandriva / ROSA 2011, but revised, supplemented and supported in their own assembly infrastructure ABF.
The distribution comes in two editions, collected for architectures i586 and x86_64:
Free (only the free components) and Extended Edition (the set includes multimedia codecs and proprietary components). The size of the installation images, 1.4 GB, there is support in Live-mode.

Supported by a simultaneous display of thumbnails and a quick search of a slide show. Of the supported content types are marked text files, images, videos, audio files and output directory information;
