Submitted release Linux-distro ROSA Marathon in 2012, is replacing ROSA Desktop 2011 and positioned as the issue of long-term support (LTS), which updates will be released within five years. Unlike the previous version, which was released simultaneously on a single packet-based with Mandriva Linux, ROSA Marathon 2012 is built on the basis of its own packet, initially based on the time between the distribution Mandriva / ROSA 2011, but revised, supplemented and supported in their own assembly infrastructure ABF.
The distribution comes in two editions, collected for architectures i586 and x86_64:
Free (only the free components) and Extended Edition (the set includes multimedia codecs and proprietary components). The size of the installation images, 1.4 GB, there is support in Live-mode.

? New drivers for Intel, NVidia and AMD with support for i3/i5/i7, GF6xxx and the latest chip AMD. Initial support technology with Nvidia Optimus Bumblebee (installed from the repository, Main);
? Updated user applications: Firefox 10.0.2, Thunderbird 10.0.2, LibreOffice 3.4.5, Amarok 2.5.0;
? The distribution is integrated with the application KLook for quick viewing of files. The program is analogous to QuickLook in Mac OS X and allows you to evaluate once the contents of a selected set of files without opening the files manually one by one. Supported by a simultaneous display of thumbnails and a quick search of a slide show. Of the supported content types are marked text files, images, videos, audio files and output directory information;
? As a media player involved ROSA Media Player, based on the time between projects, MPlayer and SMPlayer. ROSA Media Player aims to provide maximum coverage of the supported formats in conjunction with a sensible default settings and user interface is not overloaded;
